Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support industrial maintenance for material handling systems, focusing on mechanical power transmission, electrical, PLC/controls, welding/fabrication, and safety compliance. You will perform basic preventive and predictive maintenance, diagnose simple issues, follow established procedures, and work under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with minimum skill requirements.
• Demonstrated basic mechanical aptitude through background or hobbies in agriculture, automotive or other technical areas
• In lieu of demonstrated mechanical aptitude, two (2) years of FedEx Operations Sortation equipment knowledge will be considered or currently enrolled in a certificate or degree program for Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics or related discipline
• Related military technical experience and electrical or mechanical trade experience will be considered

Responsabilités

• Perform basic preventive and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling systems.
• Diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues visually or audibly at the component level.
• Adhere to safety standards and attend trainings; address safety concerns.
• Require assistance/supervision in preventative/corrective maintenance tasks.
• May participate in smaller scope projects.
• May have to work a flexible schedule including all days and shifts as business needs dictate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
