Job summary

UniFirst Corp. in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to inspect, repair and optimize industrial equipment across our facilities. You will troubleshoot PLCs, perform boiler and wastewater testing, follow blueprints and operate CMMS, with on‑the‑job training and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two-year technical degree preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Minimum of 1 year of experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
Lockout/Tagout experience required.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot equipment problems using observation and testing instruments.
Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals and specifications.
Test boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment, adjust chemicals as required.
Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and perform repairs as needed.
Inspect motors, belts, fluids, replace filters and perform maintenance actions.
Perform basic welding to effect repairs on facilities and equipment.
Inspect, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts per procedures.
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
