Job summary

SoCal Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Colton, CA to perform general maintenance, execute work orders, and assist with apartment turnovers. The role supports leasing staff to meet occupancy goals and deliver a quality living experience for residents.

You will collaborate with the Maintenance/Community Manager, coordinate move-ins, track turns in Yardi, and ensure work is completed promptly while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year of experience performing the duties of a Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general maintenance to provide a quality move-in experience.
• Coordinate move-in schedules with Maintenance/Community Manager; non-renovated turns in 5 days, renovated in 30 days; track turns in Yardi.
• Assist in managing open service requests through Yardi; complete work orders in 24–48 hours.
• Ensure all work complies with SoCal Management standards and safety policies.
• Follow up with residents and management on status of work; report issues/liabilities.
• Maintain up-to-date supply inventory with Maintenance/Community Manager.
• Keep common areas clean and well-maintained; conduct daily property walks.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pools, carpentry, drywall, and appliances.
• Assist with annual unit inspections and repairs.
• Adhere to safety policies and report incidents immediately.
• Keep keys secure; no unauthorized removal.
• Participate in safety meetings and perform duties safely.
