Job summary

CCH - Christian Church Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to oversee daily maintenance at assigned properties in Idaho Falls, ensuring safety and quality housing for residents. The role involves indoor/outdoor work, coordinating with the Property Management team, and responding flexibly to unplanned events.

Responsibilities include completing repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep, maintaining units for move-in, and ensuring timely execution of tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Minimum of two years as a Maintenance Tech or similar.
• Prior experience in apartment maintenance or construction preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Yardi (or similar) is preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn the organization’s systems is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management, with the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to caring and positive working and living environments for all employees and residents.
• Assist in enforcing safety regulations by identifying and reporting safety hazards.
• Perform custodial duties such as cleaning, mopping, emptying trash, replacing light bulbs, etc., as needed.
• Maintain and repair all aspects of physical building, outdoor areas, parking areas, and units including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
• General carpentry duties to prepare apartments for move-in including cleaning, painting, repairing, replacing, and refinishing surfaces, windows, appliances, and flooring.
• Ensure move-ready units are completed within 3–5 days of release to the office.
• Move common space furniture, supplies, and equipment.
• Request tools, equipment, and supplies; safely store tools and chemicals.
• Track supplies and order new supplies in coordination with supervisor.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as assigned.
• Enter completed work orders into the software system with detailed repair information.
• Other duties as assigned.
