Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our maintenance team. You will troubleshoot equipment, assist with repairs, and work with PLCs and control systems. You’ll follow blueprints and manuals, perform safety checks, and log results in CMMS.

On-the-job training is provided as part of a Monday–Friday schedule with possible overtime. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and a 2-year technical degree, plus experience with industrial equipment and reading schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with a two-year technical degree preferred.
• Experience repairing industrial processing equipment in production is required.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and basic maintenance literature in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems using observation and precision instruments.
• Assist maintenance team with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Repair PLCs and control systems per manuals and specs.
• Follow blueprints, schematics and engineering instructions.
• Perform boiler tests and safety checks; maintain logs.
• Use CMMS for maintenance records and tasks.
