Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components in a Monday–Friday framework with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment to be eligible for employment.
• Lockout/Tagout experience is required

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems using observation and testing instruments.
• Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater testing and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and repair as required.
• Inspect and maintain motors, belts, bearings, gears, and other parts.
• Perform basic welding for repairs.
• Lubricate and inspect shafts and gears per procedures.
• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
