Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform on-site maintenance of facility and equipment at our Gaffney, SC location. The role includes servicing, repairing, and documenting activities; CMMS usage is required to track work orders and parts, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma/GED with 3+ years in maintenance or 5+ years in a related field, plus knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and the ability to read prints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 3+ years maintenance experience, or 5+ years in a related field.
• Journeyman’s Card from an accredited apprenticeship program preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and CMMS is a plus.
• Ability to read prints and technical manuals; reading electrical & mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of facility, equipment, and grounds.
• On-site service and repair of equipment.
• Pull reports and enter data into CMMS.
• May train other employees; may step in as Team Lead if no Tech III.
• Collaborate with other departments and follow safety practices.
