Job summary

The AZEK Company in Scranton, PA is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to keep production lines running and equipment in top condition. You will support TPM and 6S initiatives, assist in work orders, and help line commissioning after maintenance events.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic electrical and mechanical reading, and troubleshooting skills. Welding and forklift certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; advanced certs are a plus.
• 0+ years of Maintenance Tech I experience; strong troubleshooting basics.
• Experience reading electrical and mechanical drawings; PLC knowledge a plus.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook; basic computer use required.
• Welding certification and forklift training are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production lines and equipment to run at all times.

• Complete work order requests per supervision guidance.
• Support 6S and TPM programs to improve efficiency.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
• Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
• Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
• Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
• Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
• Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
• Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
• Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
• Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
• Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus

Experience: 0 plus years of experience in role of Maintenance Tech I

Computer Skills: Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

Certifications & Licenses: Will meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech"s Training

Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program

Completion of two year Maintenance Certification course

Stick and wire welding experience required with structural welding certification, a plus

Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program

Other Requirements: Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems; Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment; Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus; Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus; Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings; Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally; Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities; Strong mathematical skills; Success in planning, executing and managing projects; Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences; Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
