Job summary

AZEK Exteriors in Scranton, PA is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to maintain lines and equipment on the 6:00am–3:30pm shift. You will work with the Maintenance Manager, supervision and line leads to prioritize work orders and improve TPM/6S programs.

Ideal candidates have a High School/GED, 0+ years in a similar role, and basic skills in Word/Excel/Outlook. Welding and forklift certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.
• Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus
• Experience: 0 plus years in role of Maintenance Tech I
• Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
• Certifications & Licenses: TRAK program, 2-year Maintenance Certification, welding certs, forklift cert, and reading electrical/mechanical drawings

Responsibilities

• Maintains production lines and equipment to run at all times
• Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads
• Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators
• Supports 6S and TPM programs
• Coaches and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance checks
• Supports preventative maintenance on the shift
• Contributes to line commissioning after maintenance events
• Participates in plant projects as needed
• Operates to provide value to the team
• Performs additional duties as assigned by supervision/management

• Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
• Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
• Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
• Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
• Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
• Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
• Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
• Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
• Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
• Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus

Computer Skills: Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

Licenses

Will meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech"s Training

Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program

Completion of two year Maintenance Certification course

Stick and wire welding experience required with structural welding certification, a plus

Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program

Other Requirements: Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor

Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems; Strong background in

manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment; Working knowledge of

extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus; Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a

plus; Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings; Strong decision making, analytical skills and

proven ability to work cross-functionally; Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities;

Strong mathematical skills; Success in planning, executing and managing projects; Strong

interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of

audiences; Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7
