Job summary

The AZEK Company is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to help keep extrusion lines and equipment running smoothly. This role supports maintenance planning, line commissioning after maintenance events, and cross-functional project work in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, maintenance certifications, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. The position is on-site with a daytime shift and competitive starting pay.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; related certifications a plus.
  • Completion of two year Maintenance Certification course is preferred.
  • Experience with electrical, electronic, motor controls; ability to troubleshoot is valued.
  • Forklift experience with TT Forklift Certification program is a plus.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings; strong math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and ensures production lines and equipment run at all times.
  • Assist in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager and Supervisors.
  • Complete work order requests as defined by leadership.
  • Support 6S workplace organization and TPM production efficiency programs.
  • Assist and train operators in daily preventative maintenance checks.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
  • Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
  • Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
  • Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
  • Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
  • Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
  • Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
  • Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
  • Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
  • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management
Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus

Experience: 0 plus years of experience in role of Maintenance Tech I

Computer Skills: Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

Certifications &

Licenses

Will meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech"s Training Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program

Completion of two year Maintenance Certification course

Stick and wire welding experience required with structural welding certification, a plus

Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program

Other Requirements: Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor

Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems; Strong background in

manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment; Working knowledge of

extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus; Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a

plus; Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings; Strong decision making, analytical skills and

proven ability to work cross-functionally; Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities;

Strong mathematical skills; Success in planning, executing and managing projects; Strong

interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of

audiences; Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7
