Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for Danville House Apartments in Danville, VA. The role covers maintenance across rental units, common areas, offices, lots, and grounds.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC systems; completing service requests; and ensuring vacant units are ready for occupancy. On-call schedule rotates weekly.

Salary is competitive with a 8-hr schedule, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
• Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining common areas, units, offices, and grounds.
• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
• Complete service requests per company procedures.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy per standards.
• Support preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Assist with snow removal, landscaping and trash management.
• Be available for on-call emergencies as scheduled.
