Job summary

ITT Inc. in the United States is seeking a skilled machinist/maintenance technician for the 2nd shift to fabricate and repair tooling, test equipment, and perform preventive maintenance in a busy manufacturing facility.

You will read blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics, operate mills, use hand tools, and collaborate with vendors. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical knowledge is required; CAD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent form two-year college or technical school; or 2–5 years related experience.
Machining experience (manual mill and lathe).
PLC programming and troubleshooting.
CNC troubleshooting and repairs.
Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical trades.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.
Welding experience preferred.
Experience with PM and other record keeping systems.
Ability to read/interpret safety and operating documents in English.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble tooling, machinery, and test equipment from blueprints and schematics.
Operate Mills and other machinery to repair or complete items.
Perform preventive maintenance to keep machines in peak condition.
Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
Diagnose and repair equipment; assist with spare parts inventory.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers as needed.
Work independently and in teams under varied conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
