Job summary

The Scion Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician II for our Harrisonburg property. You will respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive tasks, prep units for turnovers, and ensure safe, efficient operation of building systems.

The role requires strong problem solving, technical ability, and reliability in a fast-paced campus environment, with after-hours duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma required.
• HVAC certification (EPA 608) required.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or intent to obtain within six months.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of key management and security systems.
• Safety procedures awareness and punctuality.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with Entrata, CMMS, BAS and digital control systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel when required.
• Stand 8 hours or longer and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in BAS, Entrata and CMMS for logging service requests and work.
• Maintain property's physical condition per SOPs, OSHA, and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding maintenance to protect assets.
• Oversee major building systems and life safety systems monitoring/diagnostics.
• Support emergency/disaster planning and after-hours response.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors and supervisors.
• Document completed work with clear notes and materials used.
