Job summary

Schwan's Company is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for our food manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania. In this full-time role, you will conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems and production machinery, supporting reliable operations and minimizing downtime, with responsibilities spanning setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation.

The position offers a third-shift with a $1.05 differential between 3:00 PM and 7:00 AM, weekly Friday pay, 10 paid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Able to work full-time, overtime, or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyor systems and food production machinery to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
• Perform complex mechanical repairs including shaft keying, sprocket broaching, gear head replacement, stainless steel welding, hydraulic hose fabrication, and belt maintenance using specialized tools and equipment.
• Assist with equipment setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation of new or modified plant machinery to support production needs.
• Diagnose mechanical issues through observation, auditory assessment, and use of precision measuring instruments, and effectively identifying and resolving root causes.
• Utilize SAP software to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and communicate effectively with production and operations teams to optimize workflow.
