Job summary

TPI Global Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician II / Mechanical Technician II to support the safe, reliable operation of natural gas transmission facilities. This is a hands-on field position responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and station systems.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a practical understanding of air, cooling, fuel, and auxiliary systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related mechanical maintenance experience and/or training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and station systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot air and air dryer systems.
• Maintain cooling systems and auxiliary station equipment.
• Identify and report abnormal operating conditions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
• Follow SOPs, O&M manuals, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician II / Mechanical Technician II to support the safe, reliable operation of natural gas transmission facilities. This is a hands-on field position responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and station systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and station systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot:
• Air and air dryer systems
• Cooling systems
• Auxiliary station equipment
• Identify and report abnormal operating conditions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
• Follow SOPs, O&M manuals, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Support equipment operation, measurement, telecommunications, electrical controls, and other maintenance activities as required.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of directly related mechanical maintenance experience and/or training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic proficiency with computers and standard office software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain driving privileges.

Preferred Experience:

• Pipeline, compressor station, or industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Gas transmission operations experience.
• Experience with rotating equipment and compressors.
• Experience with Caterpillar high-speed engines/compressors.
• Experience with cooling systems, fuel systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Pipeline/energy regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily outdoor/field-based work.
• Work in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Climbing ladders, kneeling, reaching, walking on uneven terrain, and working around industrial equipment.
• May require overtime, weekends, shift work, on-call/standby rotations, and overnight travel.
• Safety-critical and safety-sensitive position.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, strong hands-on troubleshooting skills, and experience working with compressors, rotating equipment, engines, cooling/fuel systems, or industrial/pipeline equipment. Pipeline or natural gas transmission experience is highly preferred.
