Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair station equipment and mechanical systems.
• Support air systems, air dryer systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, gas compression equipment, and prime movers.
• Recognize and respond to abnormal operating conditions to ensure safe operations.
• Complete documentation, reports, and maintenance records accurately.
• Follow SOPs, O&M manuals, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, contractors, and maintenance teams to support reliability goals.
• Assist with additional operational tasks including equipment operation, measurement, telecommunications, and electrical controls.

As a Maintenance Technician II (Mechanical Technician II), you will play a vital role in supporting the safe and reliable operation of our gas transmission facilities. This hands-on field position involves inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical mechanical systems that ensure the continued delivery of natural gas to communities across North America.

What You Will Do

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair station equipment and mechanical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with pipeline, compressor station, or industrial mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of gas transmission operations and maintenance practices.
• Experience with rotating equipment, compressors, Caterpillar high-speed engine compressors, cooling systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Desire to learn and progress within the Mechanical Technician career path.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in energy operations.

Working Conditions

• Field-based role with outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Regular physical activity: lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, kneeling, reaching, walking on uneven terrain, and working around industrial equipment.
• Participation in overtime, weekend work, shift schedules, on-call rotations, standby assignments, and overnight travel.
• Must reside within or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the reporting location.
• Safety Critical and Safety Sensitive position requiring strict adherence to company safety standards.
