Job summary

Drury Hotels is hiring a Maintenance Technician I at the Birmingham property to maintain safe, well‑kept facilities and systems. You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC, plus light carpentry and painting.

You will document work, support training for colleagues, and help recruit for the department while ensuring high guest satisfaction. You will join a team focused on reliability, safety, and guest comfort, with opportunities for growth,

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge across facilities systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and kitchen equipment.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and safety protocols.
• Able to read and follow technical manuals and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, smooth-running hotel property and grounds.
• Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC.
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repairs.
• Implement and monitor safety programs for proper compliance.
• Keep detailed maintenance records and reports.
• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to address department needs.
• Contribute to an exceptional guest experience through proactive service.
