Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions, procedures, and documentation.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience with CNC machines and automated equipment.
  • Preferred: CMMS experience and GMP familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment and facility systems.

  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system issues.
  • Respond to downtime events and restore equipment safely and quickly.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and documentation in CMMS.
  • Support 5S, Lean, reliability, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Read schematics, drawings, manuals, and procedures.
  • Assist with installations, upgrades, relocations, and related projects.
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Promote safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service.

Work Flexibility: Onsite Schedule: Fri & Sat, 5:00am - 7:30pm Sundays, 5:00am - 5:30pm

As a Maintenance Technician at Stryker, you'll help keep our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently through equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. This hands-on role is ideal for a mechanically and electrically inclined problem solver who enjoys working with advanced manufacturing equipment and driving continuous improvement.

What You Will Do
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, automated equipment, PLC-controlled systems, packaging equipment, and other production machinery.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system issues.
  • Respond to equipment downtime events and restore equipment to operational status safely and efficiently.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and documentation within the CMMS maintenance tracking system.
  • Support continuous improvement, 5S, Lean, reliability, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, relocations, and maintenance-related projects.
  • Partner with production teams to improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service.
What You Need
  • Required High school diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of technical school, apprenticeship training, or equivalent maintenance education; OR Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance, equipment repair, manufacturing maintenance, or technical troubleshooting experience supporting CNC Machines and automated production equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions, procedures, and documentation.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Preferred Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting CNC machines and automated production equipment.
  • Preferred Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.
  • Preferred Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial controls.
  • Preferred Experience with CMMS maintenance software.
  • Preferred Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Physical Requirements

Frequently lift and carry 10-50 pounds; occasionally up to 75 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach throughout the workday. Use hands for grasping, handling tools, and performing repairs. Work around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery. May be exposed to moderate noise levels. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and other protective gear as required.

Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
