UniFirst seeks a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team in the United States. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components.

The role includes on-the-job training, standard Monday–Friday work week with occasional night/weekend overtime. You will utilize hand/power tools, read blueprints, operate CMMS, and ensure safe operation of machinery.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment.
• Minimum 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment test.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Lockout / Tagout experience required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment testing and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Perform daily/weekly boiler safety checks and repairs as required.
• Record and analyze utility meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Perform daily/weekly location/system safety checks and address concerns.
• Inspect motors, belts, fluids, replace filters, and maintain equipment per procedures.
• Inspect, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts.
• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
