UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech I to join our UniFirst community. As a Team Partner in the Maintenance Department, you will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components.

This role offers on the job training, a standard Monday–Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime, and opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding organization.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment.
• Minimum of 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment required.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision measuring/testing instruments.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment system testing and adjust chemicals as required.
• Perform daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and make repairs as needed.
• Record and analyze utility meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Perform daily/weekly location/system safety checks and address concerns.
• Inspect motors, belts, fluids, replace filters, and other maintenance tasks.
• Inspect, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Reading blueprints & schematics

Computer basic skills / MS Office

Lockout/Tagout experience

Reading maintenance literature in Eng

Ability to lift up to 80 lbs

Educación

High school diploma or GED

Two-year technical degree
