UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech I to join our team in Camby, IN. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and systems, with focus on safe operation and adherence to blueprints and manuals.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional night and weekend overtime and on‑the‑job training. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a basic technical background, and the ability to read

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience repairing industrial equipment in a production environment.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize hand/power tools and precision measurement devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and hydraulic, pneumatic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and manufacturer instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using precision testing tools.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater testing and adjust as needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks and perform repairs as required.
• Record utility meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Perform daily/location safety checks and address concerns.
• Inspect motors, belts, fluids and replace filters per procedures.
• Lubricate shafts, bearings and gears and inspect components.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
