UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team in Wilkinson, IN. You will perform repairs, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, following blueprints and safety standards. The role supports a Monday–Friday workweek with overtime opportunities and on-the-job training.

You will use hand tools, measurement devices, and CMMS to track maintenance. Qualified candidates read blueprints, have basic computer skills, and can lift up to 80 lbs.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment and industrial repair.
• Read blueprints and schematics; English maintenance literature
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
• Lockout/Tagout experience required
• Overtime availability and ability to lift up to 80 lbs

Responsabilidades

• Utilize hand and power tools, precision devices, and electronic testers.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and manufacturer instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precise instruments.
• Test boiler chemicals and wastewater pretreatment; adjust as needed
• Perform daily/weekly boiler safety checks and repairs
• Record utility meter readings and take corrective actions
• Conduct location/system safety checks and address concerns
• Inspect motors, belts, fluids, and lubricate parts
• Use CMMS for maintenance records and work orders
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
