Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to repair, maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment. The role involves following blueprints, operating toolsets, and ensuring safe machinery operation in a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed.

Minimum 6 months of production maintenance experience and a high school diploma are required; a two-year technical degree is preferred. Training provided on the job with opportunity for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree in a related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Minimum 6 months of experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools, precision measurement tools, and testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of boiler and mechanical systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and manufacturers' instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments.
• Perform boiler chemical testing and wastewater pre-treatment monitoring with data logging.
