Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician I to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant manufacturing equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs, using diagnostic tools and CMMS, with emphasis on electrical, PLCs, hydraulics, and robotics. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

The position supports a collaborative team focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred Technical school training.
• 1-2 or more years of prior maintenance experience on automated manufacturing machines/equipment.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Maximo preferred.
• Familiar with programmable logic controllers (PLC) systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron). SCADA/EMS/BMS experience preferred.
• Experience with motor controls, variable speed/variable frequency drives, servos, stepper motors, high speed packaging equipment, pneumatic systems.
• Reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, building drawings, and part diagrams.
• Working knowledge of sensors, vision systems, and related automation components.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Uses a drawing package, multi-meter and diagnostic tools to resolve issues.
• Performs daily preventative maintenance to keep equipment operational.
• Adheres to safety and GDP requirements; follows plant procedures and completes work in CMMS.
• Participates in department and site continuous improvement projects.
