The role involves building repairs, unit turnovers, preventive maintenance, and coordinating vendors and staff to keep spaces safe, clean, and functional for residents.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in general building maintenance or related fields.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, painting, drywall, and locks.
• Troubleshoot problems, prioritize tasks, work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to log work orders accurately.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and work with residents from diverse backgrounds.
• Valid Washington driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and locks.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents and coordinate turnovers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and monitor building systems and equipment.
• Maintain common areas, exteriors, grounds, and overall property appearance.
• Respond to emergencies to prevent damage or safety concerns.
• Track work orders, preventive maintenance, and supplies.
• Coordinate with management, residents, vendors, and staff to address needs.
• May assist scheduling, prioritizing, and directing other maintenance staff.
