Job summary

Catholic Community Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Affordable Housing in the King County area. The role involves hands-on repairs, preventive maintenance, and coordinating units turnovers to keep homes safe and welcoming for residents.

You will work with Property Managers and onsite staff, handling urgent issues and ensuring high-quality upkeep across properties. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or related fields.
• Ability to learn plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other systems.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer literacy and accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and work with residents.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and perform repairs across trades.
• Prepare vacant units and coordinate turnovers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and monitor systems.
• Maintain common areas and property appearance.
• Respond to emergencies to minimize risk.
• Track work orders and coordinate with vendors and staff.
• Prioritize tasks and may supervise other staff.
