Job summary

Catholic Charities Eastern Washington is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician III to install, inspect, repair, and perform preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste systems. The technician handles basic facilities tasks and ensures work meets safety standards.

You will work independently under supervision, coordinate with the Property Manager, supervise external contractors, maintain exterior curb appeal, and log activities in the work order

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of building maintenance experience.
• Proficient in a broad range of maintenance and repair activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow safety standards and work in compliance with building codes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Regularly stand, climb, walk, hear/listen, talk.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Address safety and waste management system issues as required.
• Complete basic facilities maintenance tasks, such as painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and fixture installations.
• Assist with facility projects and coordinate facility improvements.
• Log and track maintenance activities using a work order system.
• Maintain professional communication with residents and address maintenance requests via the work order system.
• Coordinate with the Property Manager on move-ins and move-outs.
