Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a maintenance technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, engines, valves and related equipment. You will learn mechanical troubleshooting, dismantle and reassemble parts, and ensure safe, efficient operation of plant systems.

Responsibilities include facility upkeep—lighting, painting, minor repairs—and operating company vehicles for plant tasks, with on-call duties as needed. Prior experience with tools and safety procedures is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Six months to two years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience with power, pneumatic, hydraulic and hand tools preferred.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment and precise measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, engines, valves and related equipment.
• Learn mechanical troubleshooting and perform repairs; dismantle and reassemble equipment.
• Maintain facilities including lighting, painting and minor repairs as needed.
• Operate company vehicles for plant operations and assist in project cost estimation.
