Job summary

Front Porch in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to help maintain safety and operations of the facility. Responsibilities include inspecting electrical and plumbing systems, performing repairs, and assisting with renovations and equipment upkeep.

The role may require on-call availability and on-site work at the community, with a focus on preventive maintenance and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred but not required.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work orders, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests electrical equipment and machinery; performs repairs as appropriate.
• Diagnoses problems by listening to machine sounds and consulting supervisors.
• Dismantles, repairs, and replaces defective parts.
• Performs plumbing repairs and maintenance; plastering and painting as needed.
• Maintains and repairs facility structures and equipment.
