Front Porch Communities and Services in Los Angeles is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to ensure the safe operation and upkeep of the facility. The role covers plumbing, electrical, painting, minor carpentry, and equipment repairs, working Monday–Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Pay ranges from $23.18 to $28.00 per hour. On-site housing may be required in some communities; the job includes on-call duties and emergency response as needed.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred but not required.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work orders, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Must be willing and able to work on-call and possibly live on site.

Responsabilités

• Visually inspects and tests electrical equipment, refrigeration units, boilers, vacuum cleaners, washers and dryers, air conditioning, heating units, appliances, etc.
• Dismantles defective machines, appliances and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Performs plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of the facility.
• Responds to and completes work orders for individual apartment units and common areas.
