Job summary

The Community Builders in Edina, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support appliance and systems repairs, preventive maintenance, and the upkeep of vacant units and common areas.

You will respond to service requests, work on weekend rotations, and ensure safety with PPE. A High School diploma and valid driver's license are required, with prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of maintenance, janitorial, landscape, or handyman experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic computer and handheld device skills.
• Knowledge of safety PPE and tools.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic support to repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, accessories, masonry, painting, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond to all service requests and on-call emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in preventive maintenance tasks for building systems and equipment.
• Prepare and perform repairs to vacant apartments for new resident move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces through cleaning, trash management, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Assist in REACHQS inspections and agency audits.
• Maintain maintenance shop and inventory to company standards with a safety mindset.
• Available for weekend work on-call rotation and emergency service duties.
