StarCare Specialty Health System is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic/Specialist to join its Plant Operations team and perform entry level building maintenance and construction work across StarCare facilities. The role involves hands-on work with building systems, preventive maintenance, and safe use of tools.

Responsibilities include repairs, inspections, safety compliance, and on-call rotation. Travel to multiple center locations is required; a Texas driver’s license is needed and

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience in construction, maintenance and repair work.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
• Texas driver’s license and be insurable under the Agency’s insurance.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and repairing buildings and utility systems.
• Operate motorized equipment.
• Complete assigned maintenance tasks using proper tools and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on buildings, vehicles and equipment.
• Travel to all center locations as required.
• Share on-call duties on a rotating basis.
• Document work accurately and within timelines.
• Support supervisor and center staff on special projects.
