Job summary

Neighborly Communities in Salem, OR is seeking two Maintenance Technician I to support our on-site team at The Grove. The role focuses on routine maintenance, make-ready turns, groundskeeping, and resident service requests to keep properties safe and well-maintained.

The position requires at least one year of maintenance experience and a high school diploma, with pay range $17.85 to $26.00 per hour. Candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Able to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
• Familiar with Fair Housing guidelines.
• Prior experience in property maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties in compliance with state and federal laws, Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, and OSHA standards.
• Assist with apartment make-ready, including inspections, repairs, painting coordination, and vendor access/scheduling.
• Help maintain grounds and amenities to property standards.
• Complete tasks such as turnovers, grounds cleanup, work orders, and pool maintenance if applicable.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and a clean, organized maintenance shop.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and respond to maintenance requests.
