Job summary

United States Cold Storage Inc in McDonough, GA is seeking a maintenance technician to support the engineering team. You will provide general maintenance support, perform preventive tasks, and assist with painting, forklift battery maintenance, and safety duties.

The role requires lifting, working in cold environments, and following safety procedures. Strong tool skills and prior maintenance experience are preferred; on-site work with flexible hours may occur.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general hand and power tools.
• Experience with preventative maintenance preferred.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.
• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; lift up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Work in varying temperatures from +50°F to -30°F.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support to the maintenance department, filling in when training allows.
• Maintain professionalism and foster collaboration with facility management and team members.
• Complete painting assignments, including work at heights and in cold environments.
• Maintain and replace forklift batteries; perform routine inspections.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks and log monthly equipment hours.
• Conduct regular building maintenance for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Complete work orders and document maintenance activities.
• Participate in equipment training for safe maintenance and inspections.
• Support emergency response efforts as required.
• Complete annual emergency response physicals and tests.
• Assist with refrigeration tasks after training and certifications.
