Job summary

United States Cold Storage is seeking an Automation Technician with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills to maintain and optimize automated systems in our McDonough, GA facility.

You will diagnose faults, read schematics, and perform preventive maintenance while collaborating with Engineering to source parts and implement improvements. Prior automation experience and CMMS familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Four years maintenance experience in manufacturing or distribution centers.
• Advanced electrical skills including troubleshooting and replacement of VFDs and IO modules.
• Advanced mechanical skills including chains, rollers, gears, bearings.
• Familiarity with CMMS and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automated system performance and its integrated components.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment faults to minimize downtime.
• Read electrical schematics and mechanical prints for repairs.
• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Lead portions of projects and mentor automation technicians.
• Coordinate with operations and engineering to source parts and implement solutions.
