Job summary

United States Cold Storage is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the engineering team in daily maintenance tasks. You will perform preventive maintenance, handle general repairs, and assist with refrigeration-related duties after training, ensuring safety and efficiency in a cold environment.

The role requires basic tool knowledge, physical capability to lift, bend, and work in temperature ranges, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Prev. maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general hand and power tools.
• Experience with preventative maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance department ensuring continuity of operations.
• Maintain and replace forklift batteries and perform routine inspections.
• Complete painting tasks and work at heights in varying temperatures.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and inspect safety equipment.
• Document maintenance work orders and results.
• Assist with entry-level refrigeration tasks after training.
