United States Cold Storage is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our engineering team in McDonough, GA. Responsibilities include equipment uptime, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and routine facility care to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• RETA training or similar industry courses preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in PRW and industrial refrigeration systems (e.g. anhydrous ammonia).
• Proficient in building and equipment maintenance.
• Moderate electrical, HVAC, welding, or plumbing knowledge.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
• Knowledge of refrigeration control systems and asset management (Infor EAM).
• Knowledge of mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment uptime and support facility operations.
• Provide cross-functional support to the maintenance team.
• Perform maintenance on powered industrial trucks.
• Apply electrical troubleshooting to diagnose and repair.
• Perform welding, cutting, and metal fabrication.
• Conduct routine building maintenance.
• Monitor refrigeration logs and safety standards.
• Assist with refrigeration systems operation and repair.
• Perform general facility maintenance.
• Participate in emergency response training.
