Job summary

Tishman Speyer is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all building systems. You will demonstrate strong technical skills in one craft area (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and assist other trades as needed in a dynamic property environment.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will uphold health and safety standards, respond to tenant inquiries, perform preventative maintenance, and support emergency response activities

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, safety rules and operating instructions.
• Demonstrated communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of building systems and their operating sequences.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust building mechanical systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing).
• Upgrade and recommend enhancements to HVAC, electrical, plumbing and control systems.
• Inspect building and equipment for required maintenance and repair work.
• Operate and maintain water chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and electrical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and monitoring reports for life-safety systems.
