Job summary

Tishman Speyer is seeking a Certified Engineer to join our team at the 407 N Maple property. The role operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facility equipment across systems, with specialization in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Plant Operations) while maintaining health and safety standards for tenants and visitors.

Qualifications

• HVAC central plant operations experience (4+ years)
• Universal CFC Certification if required by building
• IUOE Local 501 membership within 30 days of start date
• Strong knowledge of building systems and operating sequences

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the facility in accordance with applicable government and regulatory requirements
• Identify, enforce, and assess safety hazards and risks
• Record readings and adjust equipment to ensure proper operation
• Review monthly Service Request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems
• Participate in incident investigations
• Maintain HVAC systems and equipment at optimum levels
• Respond to tenant inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Assist Building Management during emergencies and manage hazardous materials safely
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace
• Other duties as assigned
