Job summary

Related Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support residential properties across the portfolio. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs across offices and units.

You will join a hands-on team responsible for property upkeep, safety, and tenant comfort, with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits. A valid driver's license and EPA/CFC certification are required for eligibility.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least 2 years of hands-on apartment maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to lift and work with heavy equipment; valid driver’s license and good driving record; auto insurance required.
EPA or CFC certification is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares or assists in office maintenance such as painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping.
Conducts hands-on maintenance of the property including inspections, repairs, and general maintenance of offices and exterior/interior areas.
Installs and repairs electrical systems, equipment, and components of machinery and equipment.
Keeps preventative maintenance logs and records findings.
Provides on-call emergency maintenance as required.
Works with maintenance staff to keep grounds clean and free of trash and debris.
Monitors mechanical equipment (water heaters, HVAC) and performs routine upkeep.
Diagnoses malfunctioning components (transformers, motors, lighting) and replaces faulty parts.
Replaces faulty electrical components and positions sensing devices.
