Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to perform machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance under supervision. You will resolve warranty and non-warranty issues on damaged products and support the Maintenance Manager and Leads.

The role requires basic technical skills, the ability to read diagrams, and adherence to safety procedures. Flexibility for varied hours and occasional site travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors and production machines.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Order parts and maintain inventories for maintenance supplies.
• Document maintenance actions and report trends to supervisor.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
