Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to perform machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on our manufacturing equipment. This role supports the Maintenance Manager and leads, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and safely.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience, plus a valid driver’s license. On-site work with flexibility for overtime is expected at BFS facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on engines, motors, and production equipment.
• Diagnose issues by observing equipment in operation and using measuring tools.
• Maintain inventories of parts and supplies and place orders as needed.
• Document maintenance actions and report trends to supervisor.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment following company procedures.
