Job summary

McCain, Inc. in Otay Mesa, San Diego, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical production equipment, and maintain accurate records in the maintenance system.

You will manage MRO inventory, coordinate with outside vendors, and support safety and environmental compliance while working on-site. A minimum of 3 years in facility maintenance, a high school diploma, and bilingual English/Spanish are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of facility maintenance experience and complex electrical and mechanical production equipment preferably SMT equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and make repair recommendations.
• Proficient in facility maintenance requirements with basic technical knowledge in mechanical, piping, HVAC, plumbing, maintenance planning and scheduling, and work orders in an electronic system.
• Effective time management and prioritization; highly organized with multiple projects.
• Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record and proof of insurance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and production equipment with up-to-date documentation.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including lighting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting.
• Manage inventory of MROs and cleaning supplies.
• Obtain quotes for facility needs and coordinate with outside vendors.
