Job summary

FM Industries in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility machinery and production equipment. You will diagnose malfunctions, install piping, and support with setup of new equipment while collaborating with maintenance staff and engineering to ensure safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in Excel/Word.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED commonly required.
1–3 years of maintenance experience.
Basic reading, writing, and math.
Computer proficiency (Excel, Word).
Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, electrical systems, hydraulics, plumbing and basic tools.
Self-directed, well organized with good attendance.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
Diagnose malfunctions and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
Install and repair piping for water, air, and fluids and maintain associated equipment.
Inspect and service equipment; document maintenance activities.
Coordinate with team and vendors; ensure safety and compliance.
