Job summary

SWARCO McCain, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for our Otay Mesa, San Diego, CA facility. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of complex electrical and mechanical production equipment.

Responsibilities include documenting maintenance activities, managing MRO inventory, and coordinating with vendors. Strong safety focus and ability to work weekends on occasion are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years facility maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and production equipment.
• Diagnose issues and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Do general maintenance tasks (lighting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting).
• Manage MRO inventory and coordinate with outside vendors when needed.
• Ensure safety and compliance with Cal-OSHA regulations.
