First Solar is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to perform on-site maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds. The role emphasizes completing daily assignments, reading electrical and mechanical drawings, and ensuring safe work practices at the site in Louisiana.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, may hold a technical associate degree, and 6 months of related experience or equivalent military/vocational background.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• 6 months manufacturing or related experience required.
• Military experience acceptable or vocational high school graduate.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Accomplish daily assignments as scheduled and directed.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety practices on all tasks.
• Read electrical & mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Collaborate with other departments and manage waste generated.
