Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in California. The role focuses on installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment across our manufacturing facilities.

You will work from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with overtime as needed, and be responsible for safety, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of maintenance experience, familiarity with NFPA 70E/NEC, and the ability to read electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or recognized equivalent.
• 1–3 years of related maintenance mechanic experience.
• Preferred: Electrical Controls Technician in an industrial manufacturing facility.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and safety knowledge.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC and OSHA standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules for hydraulic, mechanical and electrical apparatus.
• Install and repair electrical equipment including generators, transformers and switchboards.
• Read blueprints and electrical drawings to guide work.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections of machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to ensure product quality.
