Job summary

Knoxville's Community Development Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to keep our buildings welcoming and safe for residents. This hands-on role focuses on janitorial services, grounds cleanup, and preparing housing units at Five Points.

Under the supervision of a Property Manager, you will clean lobbies, restrooms, and common areas, maintain grounds, report repairs, and support daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with at least 1 year of custodial experience.
• Ability to follow safety regulations and work with cleaning chemicals.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep community spaces welcoming by cleaning lobbies and shared areas.
• Prepare housing units and clean appliances and surfaces.
• Clean floors, walls, windows, and fixtures; apply floor sealers as needed.
• Care for grounds; clean walkways and parking areas.
• Report repairs and notify supervisor when supplies run low.
• Assist with daily operations and setting up meeting spaces.
