Job summary

The Millennia Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join our property maintenance team at Willow Glen, New Castle, IN. You will coordinate tasks and supplies to prepare vacant units for re-occupancy and assist with special projects under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.

You will maintain exteriors, common areas, and interiors including painting, caulking, and basic electrical/plumbing tasks, while ensuring safety and adherence to move-in standards.

Qualifications

• One (1) year minimum of prior experience or related experience.
• Must have reliable transportation as necessary to safely and effectively carry out the responsibilities listed above.
• Must be willing and able to travel. Generally, travel commitments are 1-3 days maximum; however, they may occur weekly.
• Excellent communication skills are critical, including verbal and written.
• Must possess superior customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, propose workable solutions, and implement corrective actions in all situations.
• Able to influence effectively; gain support for new ideas and approaches across multiple stakeholders with varying agendas and shifting priorities

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks and supplies to prepare vacant units for re-occupancy.
• Help maintenance team with special projects.
• Maintain overall condition of the property, including exteriors, common areas, vacant units, floor care, and trash removal.
• Support surrounding property areas; litter pickup, janitorial duties, snow removal when needed.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Assist with diagnosis and minor routine maintenance/repair (electrical/plumbing, A/C and heating).
• Operate power tools and hand tools for repairs.
• Follow safety and quality standards to meet move-in readiness.
