Job summary

Millennia Housing Management, Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I - Morningstar to join our Cleveland team.

You will coordinate tasks and supplies to prepare vacant units for re-occupancy and assist with special projects, while maintaining the property exteriors, common areas, and grounds. You will perform preventative/corrective maintenance, manage power tools, and interact with residents, vendors, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• One year minimum of prior experience.
• Must have reliable transportation to safely carry out responsibilities.
• Must be willing and able to travel 1–3 days weekly.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Superior customer service, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and implement corrective actions.
• Able to prioritize and plan work, manage time and resources.
• Knowledge of apartment building maintenance and routine repairs.
• Ability to operate power tools.

Responsibilities

• Clean/restore recently vacated apartment homes.
• Help maintain cleanliness of facility and grounds.
• Change bulbs, locks/keys.
• Install or assist with appliance installation.
• Exterior/Interior painting and caulking, light drywall repair.
• Physically manage painting, pressure washing, breezeways, and parking lots.
• Forecast repairs by walking through upcoming vacancies.
• Create punch lists after unit walkthroughs.
• Assist with removal of trash in vacant units.
• Perform quality checks on systems, appliances and aesthetics for move-in standards.
• Assist in prepping units for painting and electrical/switch plates work.
• Assist with diagnosis and minor maintenance/repair including electrical and plumbing, A/C and heating, appliances.
